How We Grow
O u r S t r a w b e r r i e s
Planting
Planting the strawberries is a delicate process and the correct timing is critical. Each row must be laid out so that it has exactly the right slope, to ensure that irrigation water will flow smoothly throughout the field.
Growing
Strawberries take 30 days to mature from flower to fruit. The berries are picked every three days, and the fields must be re-planted every year.
Our farmers share a passion for growing only the finest berries.
Hand-picked in the Field
Each morning, our farmers pick up their clamshell containers at the cooler, hand-pick the strawberries in the field and return them to a nearby Sidiropoulos fruits cooler within hours.
Inspected for Quality
Brought to Optimal Temperature
It can take anywhere from 45 minutes to 2½ hours to cool a pallet of Sidiropoulos fruits strawberries from field temperature to a chilly 4 to 10 degrees F.
Packaging - Shipment
Trucks are inspected for cleanliness and the fruit is wrapped to ensure quality.

As part of the agricultural industry, we fully depend on our surrounding, just as it depends on us. That’s why we grow our produce organically and sustainably. Over the past decades the carbon footprint of the winery has been positive, which is something we’re really proud of.
Fortunately for strawberry lovers, one serving of berries offers 85mg of vitamin C, or 160% of the Recommended Daily Value.
